The Indian Society of Hip and Knee surgeons announces the start of its premium certified course in Hip and knee arthroplasty for the academic year 2016-2017. This is a one year course offering comprehensive training in hip and knee arthroplasty, allowing the candidate to interact with leading Joint replacement surgeons and experts across the country on one to one basis. Successful completion will make one confident in doing primary arthroplasty and open the floodgates of opportunities. Unlike one day courses, here one would learn basic principles governing various techniques making one confident in selecting the technique most suitable in a given situation. Faculty consists of top ranking Arthroplasty surgeons across the country. The purpose of the course is to create a generation of future Arthroplasty surgeons who will be adept at handling the increasingly complicated scenarios in joint replacement surgery we are likely to see in the future. |

MODULE 1: LECTURE COURSE at Delhi on 20th & 21st of May - 2017 |
|
|
|
MODULE 2: LECTURE COURSE at Mumbai on 24th & 25th of June - 2017 |
|
|
|
MODULE 3: LECTURE COURSE at Ahmedabad on 22nd & 23rd of July – 2017 |
|
|
|
MODULE 4: LECTURE COURSE at Chennai on 26th & 27th of August – 2017 |
|
|
|
MODULE 5: CADAVERIC COURSE at Bangalore on 2nd & 3rd September – 2017 |
|
|
|
*100% attendance is a must at lecture course.* |

|
|
*Each of the candidates will perform one knee and one hip replacement on cadaver.* |
|
|
|
At the end of cadaveric workshop, MCQ based evaluation based on previous lecture course. |
|
|
|
Passing of MCQ evaluation is must before starting of clinical fellowship. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Fellowship period from 1st October, 2017 to 31st March, 2018. |
|
During fellowship each fellow is supposed to submit a short thesis with a reasonable follow up. |

The Certificates will be issued at the time of the next ISHKS meetings (April 2018). |

COURSE FEES - This is a paid course (Fees Rs. 200,000) |
|
|
|
STIPEND - Fellow would get a stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month for six month during the fellowship. |
|
|
|
TRAVEL & ACCOMODATION - Travel & accommodation will be arranged by delegates themselves |
